METALLICA, « …And Justice For All » en coffret collector remasterisé [Actus Metal]

Metallica poursuit la réédition de tous ses albums avec un nouveau coffret collector consacré à l’album « …And Justice For All » sorti en 1988 que l’on pourra se procurer début novembre.

 

 

C’est bientôt Noël et désormais comme chaque année, Metallica pense à leurs fans avec la sortie de la réédition d’un de leurs anciens albums. C’est cette fois ci logiquement au tour de l’album « …And Justice For All » d’avoir à son tour le droit à sa remastérisation supervisée par Greg Fidelman que l’on pourra se procurer le 2 novembre 2018 sur le label Blackened. Il y en aura pour toutes les bourses car en dehors du coffret collector vendu 169€, cette réédition sera disponible dans une édition triple CD comprenant l’album remastérisé et une sélection de live et de démos ou dans des éditions simple CD , double vinyle et même en K7 Audio de l’album remastérisé. Le coffret collector contiendra pas moins de 11 CDs, 6 Vinyles dont le picture disc de One, 4 DVD, un livre de photos et de souvenirs, 4 patch, un pass, une lithographie de Pushead, une pochette regroupant la reproduction des paroles écrites par James Hetfield.

 

 

Sorti en 1988, « …And Justice For All » était le premier album de Metallica depuis la mort de leur bassiste Cliff Burton auquel la chanson To Live Is To Die est dédié. Après l’E.P. de reprises  The $5.98 E.P. Garage Days Re-Revisited sorti en 1987, c’est le second enregistrement avec le nouveau bassiste Jason Newsted. Cet album avait déjà divisé les fans de Metallica à cause de sa production. Il est en effet quasiment impossible d’entendre la basse sur le disque. Selon le mixer Steve Thompson, cela est entièrement la faute du batteur Lars Ulrich qui lui a demandé de baisser au maximum la basse pour que sa batterie sonne exactement comme il le souhaitait. Alors que sur YouTube, on peut entendre un remix de l’album avec une basse remis au bon niveau, cette réédition ne rendra toujours pas justice au travail de Jason Newsted. Cela n’a cependant pas empêcher l’album de devenir le troisième plus gros succès de Metallica derrière le Black Album et Master Of Puppets notamment grâce au premier clip que le groupe avait accepté de tourner pour le titre « One« .
